Pig Farm Training Programme
Pig Farm Training Programs are year-round programs that generally involve the care and feeding of gestating sows, lactating sows, feeder pigs and finishing pigs. Pig Farm Training Programs may consist of operations that specialize in one growing phase of a pig, such as feeder pigs, or they may be farrow to finish operations.
This program can include:
- Processing new litter
- Record keeping
- Treating sick animals
Some of the skills learned on this program include:
- Care and feeding of gestating sows, lactating sows, feeder pigs and finishing pigs
- Herd health management
- Herd management
- Hog transportation
- Marketing of livestock
- Ration balancing
Duration: 4 days
Starting time: 9am – 3pm
Cost: R3 750 per person (VAT included)
Venue: 7 Van Wouw Street, Groenkloof, Pretoria

Non-Credit Bearing Workshop
Not SETA Accredited
Should you wish to complete the accredited version of this workshop you will have to pay an extra R1750. This will include assessment, moderation, and certification. You will also need to complete a portfolio of evidence.
