Agricultural training with a difference.
Complete your National Diploma in Animal or Plant Production at our new Farm and Training Centre in Cullinan, Gauteng. Cullinan is only 45 km’s from Pretoria.
Agri Skills Transfer has been offering the National Diploma in Agriculture since 2012 on a distance learning basis. Several students have completed the programme since then. We realised that the ultimate way forward will be to have an Agricultural training facility where students have the best of both (training & practical contact session combined with workplace experience). Thus we are extremely excited to introduce the first training facility in South Africa to offer the above to students.
Training, practical, workplace experience
The farm is unique in the sense that the following infrastructure is provided for Agricultural training purposes:
- Various Fruit trees
- Vegetable Farming
Students will have one weekly (Monday – Friday) training session per month over a period of two years (see training dates and schedule – below).
Choose one of the following:
- National Diploma: Animal Production SAQA ID 49011, NQF Level 5 (see below).
- National Diploma: Plant Production SAQA ID 49010, NQF level 5. (see below).
Students will be required to attend the monthly sessions as part of their training. During these sessions students will get the necessary support for their assignments that form part of their Portfolio of Evidence. Students will have the opportunity to work in groups during these sessions.
It is recommended that you find yourself another practical site close to home to continue your workplace experience. This can also be various different farms over the two years in your area where you obtain further skills. Once you are a registered student we will provide you with a letter in this regard to assist you with finding other workplace options.
