Running a successful feedlot takes more than putting animals in pens and providing feed. It requires an understanding of animal behaviour, herd health, production performance, feed efficiency, infrastructure and the market you're producing for.

This intensive five-day short course gives new and existing farmers the practical knowledge needed to oversee a feedlot production unit more effectively.

You'll learn how to identify problems, monitor performance and make informed production decisions—all while connecting what you learn in the classroom with what actually happens on working farms.

Because of the specialised nature of the programme, the course is presented only a few times each year, allowing for a focused and practical learning experience.
